If you were rooting for Rory McIlroy, like I was, it was like a root canal for periods of Sunday afternoon. Three different times he appeared to have locked up the tourney , and three different times, he fumbled it or had it snatched from his grasp. But finally, McIlroy claims his green jacket in a one-hole playoff against Justin Rose. it took him multiple collapses and resuscitations, but at last, McIlroy is a Masters champion. He is now one of the six men with a career grand slam joining Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods.

NASCAR
After finishing second in Friday’s NASCAR Truck Series race and winning Saturday’s Xfinity Series event, Kyle Larson dominated the Food City 500, the Cup Series race Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Larson started third and quickly moved to the front, capturing the first two stages on the way to his second win of the Cup season and 31st of his career. He led 411 of the 500 laps. Denny Hamlin placed second.
