John “Johnny” Roberts, 82, of Washington, passed away at 7:12 pm
Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at The Villages of Oak Ridge.
He was born February 29, 1940, in Dallas, TX to Walter and Irma
(Grimes) Roberts.
Johnny worked as a carpenter. He loved playing dominoes and loved to
fish. John Wayne was his favorite actor and he loved a good western.
His sarcastic humor was infectious. Everyone that knew him, loved him.
His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of his
life.
Surviving are three daughters and their husbands. Melissa and Brandon
Veatch of Washington, Tabitha and Craig Lester of Michigan, and Becky
and Jim Martindell of Florida; a sister Linda Reece of Utah.
Grandchildren, Thadeus (JoJo), Chelsea (David), Raymond, Gavin (Tifaney), Taylor,
Mary, Samantha, Timber and Hunter.
Great Grandchildren, Cashton, Piper, Sophia, Everett, Paisely, Mayra and Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Billy John, his sister Helen Tharp; and a
brother Billy Roberts.
There will be no public services. Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home is
honored to serve Johnny’s Family.
