The Indiana Military Museum is preparing to honor all Vietnam veterans with an appreciation day for their service and sacrifices on October 15, 2022. The event will take place at 715 S 6th Street, Vincennes, Indiana. The gate will open at 9:00 AM. All Vietnam veterans will be admitted to the Museum and Annex without charge, and lunch will be provided by the local American Legion post. There will also be military and food vendors on the premises. There is an admission fee for other guests of $8 for adults, $1 discount for veterans and seniors 62 and older, children 5 to 17 are $5 and WWII vets are admitted free of charge. You will also have the opportunity to meet and greet Indiana’s own Medal of Honor recipient, Sergeant Sammy L. Davis. Visitors can also experience flight in a Vietnam War Huey helicopter operated by Indiana Air Search and Rescue for a fee set by them. Re-enactors will also be present with encampments and a battle scenario, the time to be set by Search and Rescue.
