One of the all time great volleyball coaches in IHSAA history has stepped away from head coaching duties. Barr Reeve’s Amber Decoursey informed school administration that she is leaving her position. In 23 seasons, she went 692-107, she won 15 Sectionals, 11 Regionals and 6 Semi-States. She was Coach of the Year in the state (her class) 7 times and currently the winningest coach by percentage in the state. DeCoursey was also the youngest and fastest coach to 500 and 600 wins.
Washington Catholic drops the first game of the boys season 87-38 at the Birdcage in the coaching debut of Billy Nolley. Will Bassler led the Cardinals with 18 points.
