Karen Noel Evans Tow, 78, of Plainville, passed away on November 21, 2022 at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born December 10, 1943 Lewis Whetzel and Wilma Jean (Mallett) Brand.
Karen started working at a young age for her Aunt Marj at Randy’s Motel doing both clerk and cleaning and later moved on to working in local nursing homes before becoming a full time homemaker.
She enjoyed her cozy country home that was “family built” to suit her fun and casual lifestyle. Sitting out in the sun on nice days and chatting to neighbors and just watching the country life was a happy part of her life.
Karen especially enjoyed taking her vintage camaros to parades and car shows with her son Steve, who helped her at home in her last years. Knowing Karen was a special treat for friends and family who knew her well …… “she was the funny one” who could make anyone laugh.
Karren married Art Tow in 1993 and were together for at least 45 plus years before his passing in 2019. She loved Art and her children and grans very much.
Surviving are her sons Terry Wayne Evans and Steven Joe Evans; her siblings Brent Lewis Brand of Vincennes, Cheryl Delaine Brand of Vincennes, Barton Condo Brand of Hudson, FL, Donna Sue Storey of Lake Lawrence, IL, and Regina Gayle Johnson of Bruceville; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings William Robert Wilkes and Brenda Ann (Wilkes) Richardson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 28, 2022 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes with visitation from 11:00 am until the service. Burial will follow the funeral in Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral in honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
