William E. “Bill” Johnson, 68, of Vincennes, passed away at 12:10 pm Monday, December 12, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born June 22, 1954, in Tell City, Indiana to Ed and Mary (Kellams) Johnson.
Bill retired in 2010 after 38 years at Good Samaritan Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. Bill graduated from North Knox High School in 1972 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edwardsport. He loved being with his family and friends, especially his grandkids, and being surrounded by his RT family. Some of Bill’s enjoyments were going to movies with his son Nick, solitaire, golfing, and grilling out.
Surviving are his wife Melissa (Wirth) Johnson whom he married June 1, 1984; his mother Mary Berryman of Vincennes; his children Jennifer Johnson and her wife Tabitha Johnson; and Nicholas Andrew Johnson; his siblings David Johnson and his wife Bette of Edwardsport, Mary Ann Cress of Bicknell, and Ed Johnson of Sullivan; and his grandchildren Tanner Gilbert, Trenton Gilbert and Tyson Allen.
Preceding Bill in death was his father.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time. There will be no public burial. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
