The Washington Hatchets wrestling team had several mat wins and forfeit wins in eight weight classes to push out a 66-15 win against the Forest Park.
Wins on the mat came at 132 from Ayden Chestnut with a pin, Oliver Roe at 152 added a pin in the second period.
The WJHS Boys 7th grade basketball team improved to 10-2 on the season with a 35-14 win over North Knox. Darian Turner led the Hatchet scoring with 10 points The WJHS Boys 8th boys fell to 6-3 on the season with a 42-41 loss to North Knox. Aiden Boyd had 16 points to led the Hatchets. The 7th and 8th grade Hatchets return to action on Monday at home against South Knox.
The Barr Reeve Viking 8th graders travelled to Vincennes Clark and won 41-31. The Vikings were led in scoring by Miller Thompson with 11, The Vikings are now 10-1, and off till January 5th, when they travel to South Knox.
The Barr-Reeve 6th Grade Girls beat White River Valley tonight 19-12 to move to 6-2 on the season. Joslyn Knepp and Avery Wittmer led Barr-Reeve in scoring with 6 points
The Washington Hatchets 6th grade boy’s black team picked up a road win Thursday night to improve to 4-2 by defeating Sullivan 47-17. The Hatchets were led by Hunter Newland and Dylan Stowers each with 12 points.
