Beverly “Kay” Godfrey, 74, arrived in her final and heavenly home on Friday, December 16, 2022.
Beverly was born on March 9, 1948 in Washington to the late Pollyanna Enlow Perkins Seals and Don Meredith Perkins.
After completing high school, Kay obtained her nursing degree from Vincennes University. Kay was married to Jack M. Godfrey on May 12, 1962 and together they had three children; Diana Leonard (Terry), Mark Godfrey Sr., and Ricky Godfrey; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren with another arriving in February 2023.
Kay was a member and minister at Bread of Life Apostolic Tabernacle, where she was devoted to the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Kay is preceded in death by; her husband, Jack Godfrey; son, K. Mark Godfrey; three brothers, Terry Allen, Dennis Perkins, and Joel Perkins; a sister, Deborah Shull.
Kay is also survived by; a sister Lisa Fields, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. with a service immediately following also at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Oakgrove cemetery. The family welcomes online condolences to be left at www.gillsince1872.com.
