Mary Beth Lagle, 72, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 2:42 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
She was born November 23, 1950 in Washington, Indiana to the late Charles Andrew and Mary Patricia (Lythgoe) Stuffle.
Mary Beth graduated from Vincennes University in 1980 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Throughout her nursing career she worked at many different nursing homes.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the VFW Post 9395 – Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Beth loved Indiana University and Indiana Pacers basketball. She enjoyed visiting West Boggs Park with her friends. She loved animals, especially her late dogs, Babe and Sabo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Lagle, who passed away July 22, 2000; parents, Charles and Mary Patricia Stuffle; brother-in-law, Carl “Bus” Morgan.
Mary Beth is survived by her sons, Tony (Kerri) Nonte of Cannelburg and Jeff (Lisa) Nonte of Loogootee; grandchildren, Haileigh Nonte, Kaelyn Nonte, Wyatt Nonte and Olivia Nonte; siblings, Sandra Morgan of Indianapolis, Jennifer (Jerry) Helderman of Loogootee, Susie Inman of Vincennes and Wayne (Vicki) Stuffle of Evansville; step-mother, Mae Stuffle of Loogootee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loogootee. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
