A man who took hostages with a gun in Bloomington is dead. It was Friday evening when Bloomington PD says they were called about a man armed with a gun at a home holding people inside against their will. They got there to find two kids who had escaped, and they told the police the man was drunk and holding the people inside. After an hour of negotiating with the man, he shot and killed himself. The other hostages, one of them a 76-year-old man, got out safely. Police are still looking into a motive.
