Franklin “Frank” Arney, 62, of Washington, IN passed away March 21, 2023. He was born in Washington, IN on December 8, 1960, to the late Franklin E. and Mary Agnes (Lannan) Arney. Frank graduated from Washington High School in 1979. He was a lifelong carpenter with his brother and father. Frank was a member of the Montgomery Ruritan Club for 20 years and the Ducks Unlimited Club for 10 years. He was also a member of the Southwind Wesleyan Church.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed deer, pheasant and quail hunting; fishing, tinkering in his barn, taking trips to Colorado to hunt Elk, growing vegetables for his Southfork Homegrown Goodies stand, spending time with his family, walking the Florida beaches, watching his grandchildren’s sporting activities, riding his bicycle around the Sarasota Park, and tending to his cattle, mules, bison, llamas, horse, and hunting dogs. Frank was a true family man and will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Jennie McVey; and grandson Austin Petty.
Frank is survived by his children Whitney (Ross) Petty and Lucas Arney; siblings Cherryl (Forest) Fields and Ronald (Evett) Arney; grandchildren Lily Arney, Aaron John Petty, Isabella Arney, Ayden Petty; and many nieces and nephews.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Arney. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Southwind Wesleyan Church from 4-8pm and Friday, March 31, 2023, from 10-11am. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at Southwind Wesleyan Church at 11am with entombment at Sugarland Memory Gardens immediately following.
