At around 10:35 p.m. on April 7, police officers belonging to the 2nd shift of the Washington Police Department carried out a traffic stop on Highway 57. The officers spotted several traffic violations and identified the driver as 46-year-old Timothy A. Baumert. While conducting the traffic stop, the officers discovered that Baumert had in his possession roughly 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine and associated paraphernalia. As a result of this discovery, Baumert was taken into custody and charged with dealing methamphetamine.
