Maud Faye Rush, 84, of Shoals, went to be with the Lord at 6:35 A.M. on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Poplar Care Strategies, Loogootee.
Born November 21, 1938, in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Fay and Lula (Gardner) Harris.
She married James Edgar “Bud” Rush Jr., and he preceded her in death in November of 2008.
Faye was a graduate of Loogootee High School and worked at Crane in the Engineering Department.
She was a member of the Dover Hill United Methodist Church and attended the Dover Hill Christian Union Church.
Faye enjoyed gardening, mowing, keeping up with her lawn and flowers, and cooking. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and especially her faithful canine companion, Pretty Boy.
Surviving are her daughter, Scheliah Rush; son-in-law, Neal Sheetz; brother-in-law, Norm (Renate) Rush; sister-in-law, Sylvia Rush; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; and 2 daughters, Dawn Annette Rush and Justine Ann Sheetz.
A private family burial will be at Mt. Union Cemetery.
