State Road 58 between Freelandville and Westphalia will be closed for seal coating operations starting June 5. The work is expected to last until June 16, depending on the weather. The detour for this project is from State Road 159 to State Road 67. During the operations, existing pavement will be coated with liquid asphalt, which seals cracks and provides waterproof protection. Loose aggregate will then be applied and swept from the road. After a curing period, crews will fog seal the new driving surface and apply pavement markings. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
