The Board also approved the following appointments: elementary teachers Rachel Graber, Olivia Stoll, Brooke Perkins, Mackenzee Dottereeich, and Viviano Galindo; dual language instructor Patricia Quinteros; and junior high social studies teacher Delaney Berger. The Board also appointed Cody Chapman as RTZ Grant Director. In other personnel action, the Board approved changing Scott Neidigh’s position from counselor/advisor to assistant junior high principal.
In other business, the board approved out-of-town trips for the NJROTC, Jr. High Beta Club, and volleyball team. The board also gave the foreign language teachers permission to plan trips in 2025. Mrs. Schilling will be taking students to Spain; Mrs. Mittleider will be planning a trip to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands; and Mrs. Myers will be planning a trip to France.
At the end of the meeting, Superintendent Frank talked about dual language immersion, a popular new program that will begin in kindergarten next year. Frank says there is a waiting list for the program.

Graduation ceremonies for Washington’s Class of 2023 are scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Hatchet House.
