Effective Today, Good Samaritan will open its main entrance for visitors during evening and weekend hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, eliminating the need to use the Emergency Department entrance. During July 25–28, visitors can access the hospital through the Gibault Memorial entrance due to crane activity at the Health Pavilion entrance. After the crane work is completed, the Health Pavilion doors will remain open for evening and weekend visitors permanently, reducing walking distances and traffic through the Emergency Department. Additionally, the Good Samaritan will expand visitation to allow one visitor, 18 years of age or older, to stay overnight with their loved one in the room after normal visiting hours, provided they can care for themselves independently.
