The Atlanta Braves turned a triple play — the first in the majors this season — during the third inning of their 7-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night. It also became only the second 8-3-5 triple play in MLB history, with the other having happened in 1884, when the Boston Beaneaters turned it against the Providence Grays.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has no restrictions as he starts training camp, head coach Sean McDermott told the media on Wednesday. Almost seven months after going into cardiac arrest during a game, Hamlin is free to go as fast as he wants.
The Los Angeles Chargers reached a massive five-year, $262.5 million contract extension with QB Justin Herbert according to multiple reports. The team confirmed the deal, but did not release specifics. The deal makes Herbert the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history….for now.
