As the November 7th municipal election draws near, county clerks are reporting low voter registration around our immediate area. Next year will be the Presidential Election year which always leads to higher turn-out, but in local races the action ahead been slow. Officials do expect things to pick up as Election Day gets closer. In Washington, there will be a Mayor’s Race, as incumbant Dave Rhoads is being challenged by Republican Jerry Sidebottom. October 10th is the last day to register for the upcoming municipal election.
