Rickey J. Moore, 68, of Odon, Indiana, passed away, with family by his side, on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born on July 30, 1955 in Mitchell, Indiana to Howard and Shirley (Reynolds) Moore.
Rickey retired from the US Navy in 1994 and then worked at the Odon Vault Company until 2012. He was a member of the Odon VFW Post #9627.
Family left to cherish the memories of Rickey include: four sons, Patrick J. Moore, Rickey Moore II, Justin Moore and Dalton Brower; three daughters, Brandy Moore, Cheyenne Edlin and Montana (Michael) Ashby; nine grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Moore and one sister, Annette Moore.
Rickey was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Annabelle Ochs.
Funeral services to honor the life of Rickey will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rick Tribby officiating. Rickey will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, following military graveside rites presented by the US Navy Honor Guard and the Odon VFW Post #9627.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
