Entries are currently being accepted for the 2023 Daviess County Christmas Parade. Set to kick off on Saturday, December 2nd, at 6 p.m., with the lineup for the lighted parade starting at 5 p.m. around NE 7th and Bedford Road. This year’s theme is “A Story Book Christmas.” Cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs! Categories for the competition include Best Overall (winning $200 and a trophy), Best Business/Commercial (earning $150 and a trophy), and Best Non-Profit (securing $100 and a trophy). Also, there’s a chance to claim a $100 cash prize and a traveling trophy for the best lighted window display at a Main Street business. Floats will be judged during the lineup. Please note that to prevent any confusion, the parade committee kindly requests that Santa Claus remain absent from all parade entries because Santa will make a grand entrance at the end of the parade lineup.
