TERRE HAUTE, IN – On Monday morning at the federal penitentiary in Terre Haute, inmate Mario Waters was killed in an apparent altercation with another inmate.
Prison staff discovered Waters unresponsive, and despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The identity of the other involved inmate has not been disclosed.
Waters, serving a life sentence for conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children, lost his life in the early hours of the altercation.
