EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A woman claiming to be a member of ISIS in Evansville is fit to stand trial. Sierra Malloy’s mental competency was in question after she pleaded not guilty to charges of intimidation and desecration of the flag. She was deemed unfit to stand trial in October, but after being re-evaluated, a judge says she can stand trial. She’s accused of pulling an American flag off a flag pole, burning it, and replacing it with a Saudi Arabian flag outside a Spectrum building seven months ago. As she was being arrested, police say she threatened to cut off the heads of the officers, saying she was a member of ISIS. Her trial begins in March.
