Rachelle Aileen Henderson, 50, passed away while at the Daviess Community Hospital on January 23, 2024. She was born in Franklin, Indiana, May 8, 1973, to Ronald A. and Ruth Ann (Mann) Henderson.
Rachelle was a 1991 graduate of Franklin Community High School who went on to attend the Weber School of Hair Design. Later, she became a pre-school teacher at a daycare center and was a homemaker.
Rachelle was a woman of many interests. She was an avid football fan; her favorite teams were the Indianapolis Colts and the San Francisco 49ers. She loved to garden, and go to the lake, especially with family and friends. Rachelle enjoyed listening to music; her favorite was Fleetwood Mac. She liked going to demolition derbies, watching NASCAR races and the Hallmark Channel. In her younger years, she was “Little Miss Just Rite.” She was also active in 4-H and attended the Providence Christian Church in Providence, Indiana.
Those who mourn Rachelle’s passing include: her son, Jonah Henderson and her daughter, Joscelyn Henderson-Powell, all of Washington; her significant other, Terence Wright of Indianapolis; her father, Ronald A. Henderson of Franklin; her mother, Ruth Ann Henderson of Franklin; and father, Robert “Bobby” Fulkerson of Washington; and grandfather, Robert Mitchell. Rachelle leaves four siblings: Roxane (Terry) Chadwell of Franklin; Ronnie (Jennifer) Henderson of Plainfield; Angie Meadows in West Virginia; and Robyn (Craig) Buck of Edinburgh. She was blessed with several nieces and nephews as well as one great-niece and two great-nephews. Rachelle was also an animal lover and leaves four beloved pets: a canine companion, Skylar; and three feline companions, Rascal, Joop, and Fluffernutter.
Rachelle was preceded in death by her grandparents: Charles and Eileen Mann; Mildred Mann; Marian Henderson; Therrel and Betty Henderson; Ceil Mitchell; and Guy Fulkerson.
Visitation for Rachelle A. Henderson will be held 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Rachelle A. Henderson will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 1:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Pastor Michael Anderson will officiate.
