The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has allocated $155.6 million in federal transportation funding to 51 rural cities, towns, and counties for local road, bridge, and sidewalk projects.
Daviess County received over $3.5 million for a safety project on Old Highway 50.
Knox County was awarded over $6.2 million for a bridge project on Mays Road.
Gibson County received over $2.4 million for a bridge project on County Road 900 South.
Rural communities will handle the design, development, and right-of-way acquisition for these projects, with INDOT providing financial support for design and engineering.
