Thomas Hughey, 30, from Washington, was arrested in Jasper on charges including Escape, Domestic Battery, Strangulation, Residential Entry, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Theft.
On 03/15/2024, Jasper Police responded to a domestic dispute at the Dubois Apartments, where Hughey was involved. He was later transported to Memorial Hospital for injuries to his face. While admitted to the hospital with pending charges, Hughey left the hospital and was found several hours later. After medical clearance, he was taken to the Dubois County Security Center. Jasper Police were assisted by the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Memorial EMS, and Memorial Hospital.
