Greene County, IN July 28, 2024 — A Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputy has died following a motorcycle crash in eastern Greene County. The accident occurred after 11 p.m. on Saturday on East State Road 445, near the on-ramps to Interstate 69. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle was traveling east on State Road 445 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and crashed, ending up southwest of the southbound ramp. Deputy Brenton Trueblood, 25, of Bedford, was transported to a Bloomington hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
