Historic Odon Old Settlers Days and Jasper Strassenfest Kick Off Tonight

Two big festivals kick off tonight. The oldest continuous festival in the state, the 139th annual Odon Old Settlers Days, begins at Odon Park tonight. The festivities begin with the big parade downtown, starting at 6 p.m. Free inflatables for the kids and free live music on stage from the Fabulous Hickbilly’s. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show. Old Settlers Days will continue through Saturday, and you can find the full schedule at the Odon Lions Club Facebook page.
In Jasper, the Strassenfest begins tonight with opening ceremonies starting at 6 p.m., followed by the baby photo contest and a parade to the beer garden. The log-sawing contest is set for 9 p.m., with the polka and chicken dance contest at 10 p.m. The Jasper Strassenfest runs through Sunday, capping off with the big parade.
