On Sunday morning around 8:50 a.m., an Evansville man was arrested after attempting to flee from authorities while riding a motorcycle. Master Trooper Finney observed Jacob Nunley, 40, traveling at 106 mph on I-69 north of the Lloyd Expressway, weaving in and out of traffic. After a pursuit of roughly eight miles, Nunley slowed down and eventually pulled over. Trooper Finney reported Nunley was uncooperative but was taken into custody with the assistance of another officer. A strong odor of alcohol was detected, and a THC vape was found in Nunley’s possession. He was transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail, where he is being held without bond. Nunley faces charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, reckless driving, operating a vehicle while intoxicated (refusal), and possession of marijuana.
