The Class of 2001 Hatchet football seniors are hosting their youth football fundraiser this weekend, starting tomorrow night with Trivia Night at Big Al’s Place in Washington. There’s no cost to play, and teams need to be ready by 7 p.m.

Trivia Night is sponsored by WAMW, with portions of the food sales going toward youth football.

On Friday, the Southern Indiana Premier BBQ Eating Challenge will kick off at 5:30 p.m., where nine participants will compete for bragging rights. Alan Williams will represent WAMW in the challenge, which will take place in the armory parking lot. The 2001 seniors will also be grilling for lunch and dinner there, serving brisket for $15 and pulled pork sandwiches or turkey tenders for $10. All meals include mac and cheese, baked beans, and water, with proceeds supporting youth football.

The Friday festivities also feature a cornhole tournament sponsored by Perdue Farms, with eight teams competing for the championship. Dual pianos will provide live entertainment throughout the evening.

Be sure to catch all the fun and the ultimate tailgate party in the armory parking lot next to Hatchet Hollow before the big game!
