On Friday, Washington Police Officers acted on a warrant and arrested 23 year old Jon James Maxwell of Washington on charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Possession of Child Pornography, and Child Solicitation. Maxwell is being held in the Daviess County Security Center on $75,000 bond.
A man wanted in Knox, Daviess, and Martin Counties was arrested by Green County authorities Friday evening. Around 7:30 p.m. Friday evening, Greene County deputies responded to trespass report on South Baseline Road near Bloomfield. Deputies located two males on a sandbar in the river. One male fled on foot into the river. He was also observed throwing items into the river. When the subject, identified as John Micheal of Vincennes, it was discovered that he had outstanding warrants issued by Knox, Daviess, and Martin Counties. When Deputies searched the river on Saturday, they recovered a handgun from the location where Michael had been throwing items. Michael is being held in the Greene County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetimine, Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm, Possession of a Syringe, Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Refusing to Assist and Officer.
