Washington Community Schools has been awarded a $79,000 K-12 Robotics Competition Grant from the Indiana Department of Education, making it one of 137 recipients for the 2024-2025 school year. The grant aims to spark student interest in STEM by supporting robotics programs. Assistant Superintendent Steve Peterson noted that the grant will help the district expand K-12 robotics teams and improve STEM labs.
