The Daviess County Community mourns the loss of one of our local leaders who spent more than half of his life serving the community. Anthony “Tony” Wichman passed away on Thursday. Wichman was one of the founders of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for 50 plus years, 27 as Chief, 21 years as an EMT, and 16 years as a Daviess County Commissioner. Tony also put in 45 years as a community banker, 5 of which he served as President & CEO of First Federal Savings Bank of Washington.
