With the holiday season underway, Our Community Foundation is gearing up for Giving Tuesday, set for December 3, right after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So far, fourteen local organizations have signed up to participate. The Foundation encourages residents to take a break from holiday shopping and contribute to their favorite local causes. Donations can be made through the Foundation’s online platform at localforever.org, available for the full 24 hours of Giving Tuesday. Shake Broadcasting will recognize the organization with the most overall donors, while the Times-Herald will honor the organization with the highest number of Washington-based donors. The Odon Journal will recognize the organization with the most donors from zip codes outside Washington. Giving Tuesday Daviess County kicks off at midnight on December 3, with the final donor counts and amounts to be announced on December 6. For more information or to donate, visit localforever.org.
