As Thanksgiving approaches, Indiana State Police are gearing up for the annual Safe Family Travel Campaign. Starting November 16, officers will increase patrols to target impaired driving, aggressive driving, and seat belt compliance. Throughout the campaign, officers will conduct sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols, working overtime to deter unsafe behaviors on the road. This high-visibility initiative, funded by grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
