It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Anthony Conrad, 78, of Bicknell, IN. David passed away on November 27th, 2024 after a long battle with lung disease.
David was born on July 28th, 1946, to Rose and Forrest Conrad in Vincennes, IN. After high school, David joined the Air Force where he served his country from 1964 to 1968.
After returning home from the service, David went to work at Crane Naval Base in Crane, IN as an electrical technician, where he worked until he retired in 2003.
David married the love of his life, Karen Louise Jarman on September 28th, 1969. David and Karen were blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
David loved to ride his motorcycles and enjoyed hunting, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. David was a proud member of many organizations including the Elnora Masonic Lodge #616 and the American Legion Vincennes Post #73.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Forrest Conrad, his sister, Diane Marias, and his beloved aunts, Jennie and Lena Dalle Ave.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Karen Conrad, their four children, Anthony (Tonya) Conrad, Amber (Ryan) Deckard, Cara Quinett, and Christopher Conrad; grandchildren Mackenzie (Logan) Stewart, Maverick Conrad, Madison Deckard, Brylee Quinett, Bryce Quinett, Grayson Conrad, and Owen Conrad; great-grandchildren Renlee Stewart and Raelynn Stewart.
There will be a Celebration of Life on December 7th, 2024 from 12:00-2:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 707 N 8th St, Vincennes, IN, 45791, to serve family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Vincennes, IN. Online condolences may be made to www.fredrickandson.com.
