Body of Missing Newburgh Man Recovered from Ohio River

The body of Hunter Conner, 22, of Newburgh, was recovered by Conservation Officer divers from the Ohio River at 5:10 p.m. CT on Saturday.

Conner had been waterfowl hunting when his kayak capsized near Grandview as he attempted to retrieve a duck.

Rescue efforts, including sonar searches and surface scans, were conducted by multiple agencies before the recovery.

The incident remains under investigation.

Officials continue to urge the use of life jackets during activities on or near the water.
