The Washington Hatchet Band Boosters will be hosting their BBQ Dinner Fundraiser before the game tomorrow night against Princeton at the Hatchet House. Tickets are 10 dollars and will be available at the door. The meal will be served starting at 5pm in the high school cafeteria.
Saturday morning the Hatchet Baseball team will be hosting their 33rd annual Pancake Breakfast in the cafeteria. All you can eat pancakes, eggs, sausage and fruit with drink for just 5 dollars. Tickets will be available at the door.
Indiana fought back, trimming its deficit 72-68 with 44 seconds remaining, but Northwestern hit its free throws — and ultimately survived the Hoosiers’ final push as IU fell at Northwestern 79-70. The Hoosiers return to action at noon Sunday against Maryland inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
While Aaron Rodgers’ status with the Jets is in limbo, one thing’s for sure… they have a new coach. New York hired Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to be the 19th non-interim head coach in franchise history. It’s a homecoming for the coach as was a first-round pick for the team in 1994.
The Pacers are in Paris for a two-game series with the San Antonio Spurs. The first of two games will tip off at 2pm today and the second game will be on Saturday. This will mark the first time the NBA will play two regular-season games in the French capital in the same season. These regular-season matchups will mark the Pacers’ first trip to France, second and third regular season games in Europe, and tenth and eleventh internationally played games in franchise history.
The Jimmy Butler saga in Miami continues. The Heat are suspending the guard for two games after missing a flight with the team on Wednesday. This comes right on the heels of Jimmy’s seven-game suspension for “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team.” The six-time NBA All-Star has made it known that he wants to be traded to another franchise.
The Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills, but they’re first dodging questions about favoritism with the refs. In last weekend’s division round win against the Houston Texans, there were two penalties which went the Chiefs’ way that the Texans felt cost them the game. Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes told reporters that he doesn’t think his team has gotten favorable calls from the refs.
