Paula Jean (Grove) Geary, 56, passed away on February 8, 2025. She was born in Washington, February 24, 1968, the daughter of Millard and Wilma (Reynolds) Grove.
Paula’s life was marked by her deep love for her family. As a mother and grandmother, she was the heart of her family, always giving love, time and care. She found great joy in spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and was always there for them — whether it was to cheer them on at a game, or spend time with them on holidays.
Paula was an amazing sister, always ready to support and share in the lives of her siblings. Together, they shared countless moments of joy, laughter, and love, with Paula’s loving and caring nature always shining through. Even after the loss of their parents, Paula continued to hold her family close, taking great pride in being a loving sister and aunt.
The love she had for her family also included her cat, Ace. Ace was always a beloved member of her family.
Her love for cooking was something else that brought her immense joy. As a cook at a local nursing home, she shared her passion for food with others, often preparing everything from pasta dishes to fancy cakes. Paula was known for her kindness and generosity in the kitchen, always making sure no one left her table hungry.
The loss of Paula is deeply felt by her family. She was taken too soon, leaving a hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her warmth, love, and laughter.
Those who now grieve her passing include her husband, Steve Geary; her daughter, Tonya Burton; her so-in-law, John; grandchildren: Brooklyn Mathis, Jarred Shake, Stephanie Shake; and her siblings: Donna Grannon, Sally Stone, Brenda Osborn, Sarah Grove, Kelly Heaps, Ronnie Osborn, Millard Grove, Jr., Kevin King, and Kyle King.
During her lifetime, Paula mourned the loss of her parents, Millard and Wilma Grove; and her sister, Janet Osborn.
Paula’s life was one of kindness, generosity and love. She will be forever missed by her family, friends, Ace, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. From her love of cooking and sewing to her joy in going to yard sales, Paula found joy in the simple pleasures of live, and she shared that joy with everyone around her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire and guide her family in the years to come.
Visitation for Paula Geary will be 11:00 am-1:00 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Paula Geary will immediately follow the visitation on Saturday, February 15, 2025, and begin at 1:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary.
