JOANN, the popular fabric and craft retailer, is shutting down hundreds of stores nationwide following its recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Among the 530 locations listed as “underperforming” in a court filing, 20 stores in Indiana will close, including those in Vincennes, Jasper, Bedford, and Bloomington. The closures will begin immediately. The retailer operates in over 40 states and has struggled with financial difficulties, marking its second bankruptcy in a year.
