LaDonna L. Petit, 94, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed from this life, on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Poplar Care Strategies in Loogootee. She was born on October 27, 1930 in Cole, Indiana to Carol C. and Vennie L. (Martin) Goodwin. LaDonna was married to Louis Petit on September 23, 1950.
LaDonna was a member of the Methodist Church and the Odon VFW Post #9627. She was a graduate of Hymera High School Class of 1948. She worked as a Gate Manager at West Boggs Park for many years. LaDonna loved her kids and grandkids and enjoyed playing Euchre and Bingo.
Family left to cherish the memory of LaDonna include: one son, David (Pam) Petit of Loogootee; daughter-in-law, Lorella Petit of Loogootee; nine grandchildren; eight Great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
LaDonna was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of 63 years, Louis Petit; two sons, Stanley Petit and Stephen Petit; two sisters, Rosemary Goodwin and Kathleen Pullum.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon. LaDonna will be laid to rest in Burns City Cemetery.
