
A routine traffic stop in the early hours of March 10 near US 41 and Allendale resulted in two arrests after authorities discovered drugs, cash, and a firearm inside the vehicle. Deputy Z. Belfi initiated the stop and, after a preliminary investigation, requested K9 assistance. A THPD K9 unit responded, and the dog alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 131 grams of methamphetamine, 22 grams of THC gummies, $11,220 in cash, a handgun, and ammunition. The driver, Monique Peach, 38, of Vincennes, faces multiple charges, including dealing methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a domestic batterer, and carrying a handgun unlawfully. Passenger Brian Riker, 53, of Plainville, was also charged with dealing and possessing methamphetamine. Both individuals were taken into custody as the investigation continues.
