Fire Engulfs Building in Plainville; Emergency Crews Respond

A structure fire broke out Tuesday evening at 50 E & John St in Plainville, with reports indicating an oil building was fully engulfed and flames approaching nearby oil tanks. Multiple fire departments, EMS, and emergency units were dispatched, arriving on the scene within minutes. Emergency crews worked to contain the blaze. Additional manpower was requested, and power was cut by REMC to prevent further hazards. Deputies assisted with evacuations, while EMS remained on standby. By 8:25 PM, firefighters had the situation under control, and emergency units began clearing the scene. No injuries have been reported at this time. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
