Dubois County authorities say the use of a seatbelt helped to reduce injuries in a one car crash at State Road 164 and Dubois County Road 900-East at Celestine last night about 7:10.
18-year-old Gabrielle Grow of Jasper was driving 2004 Mercury and had entered into a curve on the highway. The car went across the center line and across the east bound lane and off the south side of the road. The car then hit a guardrail, went airborne and down an embankment rolling several times and then hitting a tree.
Grow was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He had numerous brusies and complained of hip pain.
There was $10,000 dame to the vehicle and damage to 30 feet of the state owned guardrail and damage to a fence belonging to a resident in the area.
