Vincennes native Eric Holcomb, a candidate for the US Senate seat that’ll be vacated by the retiring Dan Coats at the end of 2016, has less money than his two opponents. However, he says he has a better advantage than money. Holcomb, a former State Republican Party Chairman says he’s able to travel the state and meet voters and party leaders while his fellow GOP candidates cannot. Congressmen Todd Young and Marlin Stutzman are in DC while Congress meets and can’t get out to meet and greet as much as Holcomb.
According to the latest campaign fundraising reports, Holcomb has raised about $110,00. Representative Todd Young leads the pack with $720,00 and Congressman Marlin Stutzman has banked $618,000 so far.
