Carroll Marvin Ledgerwood, 80, of Washington, IN, passed away at 9:46 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Daviess Community Hospital.
He was born October 10, 1935 in Loogootee, IN to the late Arrin Frank and Lou Vella (Parsons) Ledgerwood.
Carroll was a graduate of Loogootee High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. After his military service he worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Cincinnati.
He enjoyed painting scenery and still life. He played in bands at area nursing homes.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, ArrinFrank and Lou Vella (Parsons) Ledgerwood; siblings, Arnold Ledgerwood, Blanche Jeselnik, Herman Ledgerwood, Ruth Axsom, Virginia Daugherty and Vance Ledgerwood.
He is survived by his brother, Terry (Dianna) Ledgerwood of Columbia, MO.; niece, Martha (Walter) Bagot of Fishers, IN.; nephew, Ron (Pat) Daugherty of Loogootee, IN.; sisters-in-law Rosemary Ledgerwood of Fishers, IN. and Mary Ledgerwood of Loogootee, IN.; and additional nieces and nephews in other states.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in South Martin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27,2015 from 10:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
