The contest is open to high school juniors and seniors in public, private, charter or home schools.

The winners will read their essays at the Memorial Day Service at the Daviess County Courthouse on Memorial Day.
The written essays on the true meaning of Memorial Day need to be submitted to Gill by May 2nd which is Monday.
