Recent arrest believed to be related to recent restaurant break ins.
The Petersburg Police Department reported late last week that a suspect in the recent Fish Hut/ Smokehouse burglaries was taken into custody on unrelated charges out of West Virginia. The Petersburg Police Department is preparing the case to present to the Prosecutors Office for charges. Evidence has been submitted to the Indiana State Police Criminal Laboratory for comparison. They advise Petersburg residents and businesses to safeguard their property and help their neighbors by watching for any suspicious activities for any future events.
