Hazing allegations at a Gibson County School

Oakland City Police have opened an investigation, looking at possible criminal violations after hazing allegations surfaced surrounding the Wood Memorial football team.

The Trojans forfeited their season opener against Princeton Friday due to what school officials say were “unforeseen internal circumstances.”
Oakland City Police Chief Alec Hensley tells WEHT TV that the investigation will be focused on criminal violations, not school policy violations. School resource officers are working with investigators on the case.
According to Hensley. Police are planning to talk with players and coaching staff, but police are not looking at any of coaches for criminal violations.
