Daisy M. Carrico, 92, of Washington, passed away at 6:32 a.m. Wednesday at Washington Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Daviess County. She was a member of RSVP and was a past member of the Washington Eagles Auxiliary. She had worked at RCA and Sarkes Tarzian. She also had volunteered at several nursing homes.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Shawn Carrico of McAlisterville , Pennsylvania, Jack Carrico of Huntingburg, Brian Carrico of Bedford, Tammy Gieseke of Washington, Nadtalie Brownell of Vincennes, and Mark Fields of Loogootee; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by four children, Sharon Fields, Paul Carrico, William Carrico, and John Carrico; one sister, Irene Wade; one brother, Tom Stephens; two grandchildren, Billy Joe Carrico and Melissa ‘Missy’ Carrico.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
