One injured three vehicles totaled in Thursday accident
Residents of Dubois, Martin and Pike Counties were involved in a in an accident involving four vehicles on State Road 56 yesterday in Dubois County.
Reports say that 20-year-old Canton Wolf of Winslow was driving a ’99 Ranger, west on 56 and did not see the vehicle in front of him was stopped to turn left. The Ranger hit a ’99 Buick Century in the rear which was driven by 66-year-old Bette K. Gibson of Loogootee. Her car was pushed into a 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by 45-year-old Rachel M. Uebelhor of Jasper. The driver’s side tire of the truck came off, flew across the road, hit a concrete barrier and bounced into the passenger door of a 4th vehicle, an ’08 Chevy driven by 72-year-old Marlene Schmitt of Jasper.
Gibson was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with back and neck pain. Uebelhor suffered a bruised and refused treatment at the scene.
The Ranger, Buick and Silverado were all totaled. The Chevy hit by the tire sustained a thousand dollars damage.
